Rabbit Anti-PPAR Alpha (SER12)
Antibodies that detect PPAR alpha can be used in several scientific applications, including Western Blot, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry (paraffin), and ELISA. These antibodies target PPAR alpha in human, mouse, rat, bovine and porcine samples.
Our monoclonal and polyclonal PPAR alpha antibodies are developed in mice and rabbits. These antibodies were verified by cell processing to confirm specificity to PPAR alpha. Find the PPAR alpha antibody that fits your needs. Choose from 1 of 32 PPAR alpha antibodies, which have been validated in experiments with 116 publications and 140 images featured in our data gallery.
Browse primary antibodies for WB, Flow, IHC, ICC/IF, ELISA, IP and other applications. Antibodies with advanced verification data have been validated for specificity to ensure that the antibody binds to the indicated antigen. Target information
Peroxisome proliferators are non-genotoxic carcinogens that are thought to exert their effect on cells through their interaction with members of the family of nuclear hormone receptors called peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs).
Nuclear hormone receptors are ligand-dependent intracellular proteins that stimulate the transcription of specific genes by binding to specific DNA sequences after activation by the appropriate ligand. Studies indicate that PPARs are activated by peroxisome proliferators such as clofibric acid, nafenopine, and WY-14,643, as well as certain fatty acids.
It has also been shown that PPARs can induce the transcription of acyl coenzyme A oxidase and cytochrome P450 (CYP450) A6 by interaction with specific response elements. PPAR, like several other nuclear hormone receptors, heterodimerizes with the retinoid X receptor alpha (RXR).
